The National Covid Memorial Wall

Each hand-painted heart represents someone who was loved. Someone who was lost too soon to Covid. Leave a dedication on this page in memory to your loved one, as together we commemorate victims of the COVID-19 pandemic.

My Dad was 93, survived a heart attack & stroke in his early 80s, and had beaten sepsis just 18mths previously: he fought back so hard to recover, only for an agency carer to take Covid into his home in January 2021. Dad died after a month of suffering alone in hospital. He was incredibly brave but he deserved to die of old age in his own bed. He was a Geordie, a storyteller, a loving husband to Olive, uncle, cousin, loyal friend, and our Dad. We miss him terribly.
